Product Description
This species blooms in late May, about a fortnight later than Purple Sensation. Its attractive, spherical, violet heads look good in the border and are well suited to use as fresh cut or dried flowers. The foliage tends to die back prior to flowering, so these look good if underplanted with lower growing perennials.
Signifying that spring has arrived, bulbs create splashes of colour throughout the garden and they are perfect for planting into patio pots and window boxes. Easy to grow and care for, they will bloom with the minimum of attention and are great for cutting too. We have trialled and tested all of the bulbs we sell and work closely with our growers to ensure we offer the very best, top-sized bulbs available to produce a wonderful spring show. Harmful if eaten/skin and eye irritant. Our native species bulbs are from cultivated stock – it is an offence to take them from the wild.
