Product Description
Equally effective for protecting all brassicas - cabbage, cauliflower, broccoli and Brussels sprout - from the scourge of cabbage root fly. Totally organic and bio-degradable. Cabbage Collars are a simple and efficient non-chemical way to protect your Brassicas from Cabbage Root Fly. Collars protect plants by preventing the adult fly from placing the eggs in a sheltered positon by the base of the plants.
After planting and firming the plant in the ground, slide the collar round the stem, so that a snug is achieved. As the plant grows and the stem thickens, the collar opens to avoid any restriction to growth. Collars also keep the soil around the plant warm and moist, encouraging rapid plant establishment.
