Potato Arran Pilot (First Early Seed Potato)
Despatches Within 5-7 days

Product Description
First established in 1930, Arran Pilot seed potatoes have remained staunchly popular for almost a century. This fantastic heritage seed potato recently experienced a brief period of limited availability before being built back up by dedicated farmers, rejoining the D.T. Brown Seeds range in 2023.
Arran Pilots are one of Britain’s favourite first early seed potatoes, celebrated for their exceptional taste and versatility. They produce high yields of medium-sized, white-skinned oval tubers with shallow eyes and deliciously creamy flesh. With its superb taste and texture, this top-class variety is a great all-rounder, suitable for everything from boiling to chipping.
Arran Pilot seed potatoes are fast-growing early croppers, ready to harvest from June to July. They also boast impressive drought tolerance and scab resistance, making them a great choice for both novice and seasoned growers.
To maximise your Arran Pilot potato harvest, we recommend chitting prior to planting out. This process encourages seed potatoes to sprout, allowing them to establish more readily and leading to bigger crops. Simply place them in an old egg box, blunt end up, until the shoots are approximately 1 ½ to 2½ cm (½ to 1in) long.
