Snowball Onion Sets (Autumn Planting) are a dependable white-skinned variety chosen for their mild flavour, reliable growth and excellent keeping qualities. A trusted kitchen garden favourite, they perform well in UK conditions when planted in autumn for an early summer harvest.
Plant outdoors in a sunny, well-drained position from September to October. The sets establish quickly before winter, then resume growth in spring to form neat, uniform white bulbs that are easy to lift and store once mature.
Harvest from early summer when foliage dies back naturally. The bulbs offer a gentle, sweet flavour that works well in both raw and cooked dishes, with a particular affinity for baking whole to bring out their natural taste and texture.
Supplied as 1 x 250g pack (approx 80 sets), providing a reliable and productive addition to any kitchen garden.
